Christmas Gift Packs for the Beauty Lover

Today I've compiled a list of my favourite beauty gift packs on the market this Christmas. Whether your buying for the make up addict, skin care fanatic, hair care enthusiast, or nail polish junkie there should be something here for every beauty lover.

Trending: 70s

I have been obsessed with the 70s trend that is happening right now. I really identify with this trend and find that it actually compliments my personal style and they way I like to dress. Floaty white peasant blouses have been making an appearance everywhere and I think they are a gorgeous way to inject a bit of this trend into my Spring outfits.

Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics Haul

I picked up a few make up bits at the Priceline 40% off sale last week, some old favourites as well as some new thing to try out! Keep reading to watch the video and see what I bought.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation | First Impression & Review

Today I'm testing out the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation. This is my first 'First Impression' video, so I hope you like it! Please let me know if there are any other details that I should include about the products I'm testing in these videos as I want to keep improving them and making them as informative as possible.

The Top 50 Aussie Beauty Blogs

I love discovering new beauty blogs to follow and I'm especially fond of Aussie beauty bloggers as I think we have a particularly unique voice within the community and offer a interesting perspective on the industry. If you're looking for a fresh influx of content in your subscription feed then have a browse through this list of the top 50 Aussie beauty blogs. Some of my favourites are on this list, as well as some hidden gems.

Jamberry Nail Wraps

To coincide with their recent Australian launch I was offered the chance to try out Jamberry Nail Wraps*, something I was particularly interested in considering my nail polish obsession. This was my first time trying nail wraps, which are something I had aways been curious to try but had never experimented with.

My Eyebrow Routine

Here it is! My long awaited eyebrow routine. I have broken my whole routine down into five steps, which should simplify the whole process for you and hopefully help you out when it comes to doing your own brows. Obviously everyone's brow shape is going to be different so just apply whichever steps are necessary and tweak them to suit your own brow situation.

Fave Etsy Finds #2

Here's round two of my favourite products currently on Etsy. You can check out my previous Fave Etsy Finds post here.

GRWM | Spring Make Up Look

Here's a make up look that is perfect for spring! Read more to watch the video and to see a full list of products used.

Beauté FX BB Cream

As you may remember, I haven't had much luck with BB creams in the past. Most that I have tried from the drugstore have either had terrible coverage, a greasy finish, or were an unattractive shade of grey or orange. Sometimes the whole trifecta. If you have had the same experience as me, you may have given up all hope of finding a BB cream that actually works. So, let me talk to you about one of my new favourites.

Irresistible Me Hair Extensions

I love wearing clip in hair extensions to add both length and volume to my hair as it is fairly thin and doesn't get much longer than just past my shoulders. Although I don't wear them on an everyday basis I love popping them in for parties or other special occasions as they give me so many more styling options, as well as making me feel a little bit glam. Recently I got the chance to try some hair extensions by Irresistible Me, so I thought I would share my experience with them.

Empties #3

It's time for another empties video! Check out what I've used up recently; what I loved, what I hated, and everything in between.

So it's been a while... Wanna know where I've been? All will be explained.

Collective Haul

Clothing, accessories, hair products! And a new camera? Check out what I've bought recently!

Wildfox Gypsy Spring 2015

I just want to live in a Wildfox lookbook. The photography and styling on these shoots is just so damn perfect every time, they do an incredible job of creating another world and telling a story through the Wildfox clothing collection. In keeping with tradition this lookbook is whimsical, playful and, strangely enough, even makes me want dreadlocks.

Winter Skincare by Glamourflage

Glamourflage may not be a brand that you've heard much about before, but it's definitely one you should be looking out for next time you're browsing the skin care isles. With each product sharing the story of a different 1940s/1950s pin up girl, Glamourflage takes a unique and fun approach to skin care. But it's not all about the packaging - the products themselves are just as great!

GRWM Current Everyday Make Up

It's been a while since my last get ready with me video, so I thought I'd share my current everyday make up look with you and let you in on some of the products I've been loving recently! This is a little bit different to my usual style GRWM videos, but I really enjoyed filming it so I hope you like it too!

The Perfect At Home Pedi

There is something so satisfying about having a fresh pedicure. Looking down at brightly painted toes makes me feel a little more put together. For all of you heading into Spring/Summer it's time to start treating your feet to an at home pedicure to get them ready for sandal weather. Here's my five steps to the perfect at home pedi!

First things first, lets get those tootsies back in top condition. If you want super soft feet you'll want to use some sort of exfoliator. I recently started using the Scholl  Velvet Smooth Express Pedi*, which gently exfoliates your feet, removes dry skin and leaves them feeling so smooth. You can also try soaking your feet in some warm water and using a foot scrub. If you have a fancy foot spa this is the perfect time to get it out!

Now your feet are looking lovely, it's time to freshen up our toes.  First, use some nail polish remover to take off any old polish and create a fresh base for your new colour.

Trim your nails with clippers straight across to avoid them becoming ingrown and then use a nail file to smooth down the edges. You can also use a cuticle pusher to push back your cuticles (obviously!) and carefully trim any excess away with your clippers or a cuticle remover. Buff your nails to create a nice smooth surface, ensuring that you wipe away any dust from the nail before applying your polish.

Now it's time to choose your polish. I love using bright colours on my toes as I find they are the most flattering - the colour I'm using is 'That's Berry Daring' by OPI. You can also apply a topcoat to keep your new paint job looking fresh and shiny.

To finish off apply some moisturiser all over your feet to keep them feeling smooth. The Scholl Eulactol Heel Balm Gold* is super rich and amazing at treating dry or cracked heels. I love generously applying moisturiser before bed and popping some socks on over the top - in the morning you'll wake up with baby soft feet!

Let me know what your favourite summer polish colour is in the comments!

What's In My Bag?

Seeing as my last What's In My bag video is now almost two years old, I thought it was about time I filmed an updated one! I recommend making yourself a cup of tea and getting comfy, it's going to be a longgg video!

Top Tips for a Cosy Night In

I'm a member of the Stay Home Club. Most Friday and Saturday nights you'll find me snuggled up on the couch, with a cup of hot tea in one hand and a good book in the other. In Winter I especially love staying in and keeping warm, relaxing at home instead of going out in the city. Today I though I would share how I like to relax and my tips for spending a cosy night at home!

The Sunday Story #3: Exploring the Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens

Here's a few snaps from our trip to the Royal Botanic Gardens a few weeks back. If you're not already aware, I love plants. A lot. I'm squeezing as many pot plats as possible into our tiny apartment, which will have to suffice my obsession until we move somewhere with a proper garden. As you can imagine I was pretty excited to explore the botanic gardens.

Met Gala 2015

Here's a few of my favourite looks from the 2015 Met Gala. The theme of the gala was "China: Through the Looking Glass", which inspired the designers of this year's red carpet creations. Traditional Chinese silhouettes and structures were incorporated in modern designs with Chinese Red making many appearances - some more subtly than others! With so many stunning ensembles this year it was very difficult to narrow my favourites! Kendall Jenner was a definite stand-out for me, her Calvin Klein gown was absolutely gorgeous.

Let me know who you though was best-dressed at the Met Gala this year!

My Tanning Routine feat. Tan Organic

I was recently contacted by Tan Organic who offered to send me some of their products and I thought this would be the perfect time to share my tanning routine with you! As I mention in the video I usually only fake tan once every couple of weeks (more often in summer) because I really don't mind being pale, but sometimes it's nice to be a little more bronzed!

I'm really enjoying the Tan Organic line and would definitely recommend trying out these products if you're looking for some new tanning products and if you're interested in natural/organic skin care. If you would like some more information on Tan Organic you can check out their website - or if you would like to purchase some of their products you can find all the stockist information here!

I hope you enjoy the video! Have you tried any Tan Organic products? Let me know in the comments!

What I'm Listening To [6] Kagu - Human

I've been really enjoying this song by Kagu lately - every time it comes up in my Spotify playlist I'm reminded of how much I love it. Kagu is the new project of Sean Heathcliff who was one of the singers from Snakadaktal before they split up, which is why the vocals may sound familiar. I'm loving the dreamy, relaxed vibes on his new EP and would definitely recommend giving some of the other songs a listen too.

What have you been listening to recently? Let me know!

All About My Skin

This post is going to be resource I can refer you back to whenever I review any skincare products. It's important to remember that we all have different skin types and the products which suit my skin type and work best for me could be ineffective or even detrimental to your skin. I'm going into a bit more detail about the history of my skin and my skin type, which will hopefully give you a bit more insight into why I like the products that I do and how they work for my skin.

A (kind of) Brief History of My Skin

I consider myself to be somewhat lucky when it comes to my skin's appearance and health (although the 14 year old version of myself may disagree). Even as a teenager I never suffered with severe acne, most of the time I had some small bumps on my forehead, which never came to a head, and some bigger breakouts on my chin. The first blackheads on my nose also started to appear at this time.

Going on the pill at 16 really changed the appearance of my skin and helped clear up the small bumps on my forehead as well as reducing the severity of the other breakouts I had.  After switching from the pill to a contraceptive implant a while later I noticed my skin returning to what I would describe as its 'natural state'; although I started getting a few more breakouts again, overall my skin was a lot clearer. I would just like to note that would not necessarily recommend going on the pill to clear up your skin. My thoughts on the pill have changed dramatically since I used it as a teenager. This could be a whole post in itself, one that I would be happy to write if you're interested in hearing my thoughts and experience.

On another important side note, I have a lot of food allergies. Discovering what they are and avoiding them has also made a dramatic difference in my skin's appearance. This could also be a whole post on its own, one that I am definitely planning on writing in the future.

My Skin Type and Problem Areas

Generally speaking I would describe my skin type as being normal, with it tending to be slightly oilier over summer and slightly drier in winter. I usually switch up my skincare throughout the year dependant on how my skin is feeling and what it needs.

I am fairly lucky in that I rarely suffer any major breakouts. Around that time of the month I tend to get some more congestion around my chin area but I only get a pimple popping up every now and then. My biggest issue with my skin are the large pores and blackheads on my nose and chin - I have been working on conquering these since my teenage years! The other issue I have with my skin is uneven texture and tone; I have some areas of scarring, and some redness around my nose and mouth.

So this is what I'm working with when I'm testing out skincare products for a review. The products I choose to try out and my experience with them is based solely on how they work for my skin. I hope this post has been helpful in giving you some context for my skincare reviews and to make it easier for you to determine if the product is right for your own skin.

Please leave any questions you have in the comments and I will get back to you!

Romwe Wish List

Here's some of the items that are currently in my Romwe shopping bag. I'm constantly browsing through all their clothing and accessory pieces -  they always have amazing 'on-trend' items and a huge variety of different styles that are also really affordable. They also do free shipping when you spend over $50 - woop!

The online shopping addiction is real.

Autumn-Winter Street Style Inspiration

IMAGE SOURCES: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8

I could browse street style blogs for hours. They are one of my favourite sources of outfit and style inspiration - I turn to them whenever I feel like I have nothing to wear, despite my overstuffed wardrobe! Here's a few images I've compiled for some Autumn-Winter style inspiration. Although it has been getting chillier here in Melbourne, we've still had a few warm days here and there, so I've included some outfits that could work for those days too.

Let me know what your favourite street style blogs are in the comments!
