The Sunday Story #3: Exploring the Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens

Here's a few snaps from our trip to the Royal Botanic Gardens a few weeks back. If you're not already aware, I love plants. A lot. I'm squeezing as many pot plats as possible into our tiny apartment, which will have to suffice my obsession until we move somewhere with a proper garden. As you can imagine I was pretty excited to explore the botanic gardens.

I was amazed at the size of the gardens - there is so much to look at and lots of winding pathways to follow, leading to dozens of different themed gardens and gorgeous views. Visiting in Autumn is absolutely perfect - seeing all the leaves falling from the trees was magical.  I caught myself squealing, "So prettyyy!" more times than I'd like to admit. Without a doubt the best part of the botanic gardens is the stunning lake, which extends throughout the gardens and is home to some adorable ducks!

If you're visiting Melbourne I would definitely suggest making time to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens. It's the perfect place to visit if you're looking for a relaxing day out.
